[ccmbrcbp] Finite speed of gravity in the solar system

When Earth feels a tug of Jupiter's gravity as it passes it on the inside, is it feeling where Jupiter is now, or where Jupiter was when the gravitational force left Jupiter, traveling at the speed of light toward earth?

Is the typical and naive gravitational simulation with instantaneous gravity incorrect?  I'm guessing it is correct, though explaining the illusion of instantaneous gravity will take some thought.
