[yhlmbeoc] Brick graph

The brick tessellation is isomorphic with the regular hexagonal tessellation.  Can hexagonal games, e.g., Hex, be played (awkwardly) on dominoes outlined on a grid of squares?

Of course! E.g. if one is drawing a quick-and-dirty board to play a hexgrid game, the staggered square approach can be easier/faster. There are even some published games with hexgrid topology which for some reason are printed with staggered squares. Some old computer wargames did that too.
